Established global reinsurance facility and enabled new insurance product markets in Europe and Asia, Edward Bizzell has built and led insurance operations and risk management functions globally As CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER, SHORE INSURANCE GROUP, Edward has provided new product and new market solutions to Fortune 100 Clients both in the consumer and group markets through assessing client and market dynamics and developing strategies to enable clients to capitalize on new placement of products, technology and distribution access.
Edward’s expertise enables comprehensive market assessments and provides go to market strategies and structures for domestic and global insurers. As PRESIDENT, BIZZSOLUTIONS, Edward’s organization supported Fortune 100 companies in establishing international markets, products and operations in 16 countries throughout EMEA, Asia and North America.
Edward facilitated the establishment of London’s Pembrace Syndicate – the first Lloyd’s Syndicate sponsored by a US-based Bank, opened markets on 3 continents and facilitated the introduction of insurance and protection products in Japan, The Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, Spain, Ireland and the UK. Edward has led market and regulatory environment assessments and has created and launched optimal legal entity structures both domestically and globally. His experience includes working with U.S. market regulators at both the state and federal levels and the U.K.’s FSA (now PRA/FCA), to gain approval, extend and re-capitalize companies, multiple lines of authority and dozens of legal entities.
Edward has created and led projects to introduce insurance products, insurance operations and risk management functions for Life, P&C and Reinsurance businesses.
